Hi! My name is Michael Angelo Saragosa and I’m a Brampton-based Illustrator. My illustrations focus on narrative driven issues affecting Canadians today. I aspire to captivate audiences with my colourful stories, diverse characters and thoughtful themes. My greatest strength is closely examining our connection with our surrounding environments. Many of my projects take a deep look at the intersection between urban and natural environments.
We often think of this divide as a stark contrast but it's usually a subtle transition within our residential neighbourhoods. Finding one's home in the world is a recurring theme in my illustration work. My love for story-telling and illustration began when I was young but I didn’t pursue this passion until my late-twenties. My enthusiasm for outdoor recreation informs my interpretation and respect for my surrounding environments and I bring that enthusiasm to all of my illustrations.
